CLBC Whistleblower Policy

Community Living British Columbia strives to achieve the highest standards of ethical, moral and legal conduct. One of the ways we do this is by encouraging people to let us know when they see something wrong.

Encouraging the reporting of wrongdoing and protecting whistleblowers is a top priority for CLBC. We investigate every report and, if an irregularity is confirmed, we take action appropriate for the circumstances and try to prevent it from happening again. In the case of an illegal act, we report it to the police.

Whistleblower (Ethical Reporting) Policy – This policy establishes a framework for reporting suspected or known irregularities, including theft, fraud and corruption, impacting either CLBC or individuals supported by CLBC and for the protection of persons making such reports.

The CLBC Whistleblower Report Form assists in the reporting of irregularities. Use of this form is optional.

Theft, Fraud and Corruption Policy – This policy establishes principles related to the development, implementation and regular review of processes designed to mitigate the risk of theft, fraud or corruption impacting either CLBC or an individual supported by CLBC.
