Health and Safety Checklist for Home Sharing

In previous modules, you examined standards related to health and safety. The Health and Safety Checklist for Home Sharing is used to assess important health and safety features for the following standards:

  • Health Care Planning
  • Individual Care and Support
  • Safety and Security
  • Home Atmosphere

The checklist is used to report on the quality of specific home sharing arrangements.

Note: CLBC quality service analysts or agency home sharing coordinators work with home sharing providers to monitor service quality and contracts. There is an expectation that the person who monitors your contract and support provision will visit your home regularly to complete processes like reviewing the Health and Safety Checklist for Home Sharing. This ensures basic health, safety, and security requirements are being met. Visits may also happen during times of transition, health status changes, or family life changes.

The Health and Safety Checklist for Home Sharing, is available on the CLBC website.
