Welcome

Community Living BC (CLBC) delivers support and services to people with developmental disabilities, children with special needs and their families in British Columbia. It has a board of self-advocates, family and community members, as well as staff located throughout the province. We believe that people with developmental disabilities and their families know best when it comes to their needs, goals and planning for the future.

Individualized Funding
CLBC has updated the Individualized Funding Policy and developed two new policies: Direct Funding Policy and Host Agency Funding Policy. This is part of the ongoing implementation of the pilot on Individualized Funding and feedback will be collected as part of our continuous improvement process. To learn more about Individualized Funding, and to view the policies, please go to What We Do > Individualized Funding.

Start with Hi Campaign
CLBC is launching the “Start with Hi” campaign to help British Columbians realize that through small but important actions they can play a role in their communities to increase the safety of people with developmental disabilities. Through posters and ads in community papers, the campaign encourages people to acknowledge and connect with people with developmental disabilities by simply saying “Hi”, as well as invites anyone to share their stories of inclusion on the microsite, www.StartWithHi.ca.
