Self-Advocate Advisor

Jessica Humphrey CLBC Self-Advocate AdvisorJessica Humphrey is CLBC’s Self Advocate Advisor. Jessica continues to develop her understanding of authentic, lifelong inclusion through raising her family and being in conversation with others committed to building communities where we can all belong for who we are.

An important part of Jessica’s role at CLBC is to travel around the province listening and learning from the stories and ideas of self advocates, family members, CLBC staff, service providers and community members. She reports back on a quarterly basis to the CLBC Senior Management team about what she has learned from self advocates and other stakeholders. Jessica works with CLBC staff to find ways for the voice and priorities of self advocates to always be included in the work of CLBC, as well as in other parts of community. She recognizes and respects both individual and collective self advocacy leadership in BC and works to connect people to new ideas and initiatives that honour diversity and lifelong inclusion.

The Self-Advocate Advisor is available to help answer questions about CLBC. She works in close partnership with Sylvie Zebroff, the Family Partnership Advisor, and the Aboriginal Advisor, where together they are a resource and liaison for both self-advocates, their families, and CLBC staff.

Please feel welcome to give Jessica a call at 778-679-2691, or email her at Jessica.Humphrey@gov.bc.ca.
