Summer is all about good times with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and making the most of the sunshine. And what better way to remember those fantastic summer memories than on film?
The Citizen is now accepting entries for its third annual photo contest. The contest is free and is open to anyone with a camera. We are looking for photos that best capture the people in your community.
Winning photos will be featured in a photo spread in the November edition of The Citizen, and top winners will also win fabulous prizes.
So when you head out the door this summer, don’t forget your camera – the winning photo might be right before your eyes!
Rules & Regulations
Eligibility
The contest is open to all British Columbia residents.
Format
Digital entries may be e-mailed as JPEG files or files burned to a CD. If submitting pictures from a film camera, please send originals. Do not send colour photocopies.
Entries & Identification
Limit of five entries per entrant. Each entry must have a fully completed entry form, as well as a photo release form, taped to the back of each photograph or attached to the e-mail. Entries not meeting these format and identification requirements will not be eligible for judging.
Publication
Photo releases are the responsibility of the entrant and must be filled out in order to be eligible. All entries, whether they are a winner or not, will become the sole property of CLBC, and may be used in future communications materials, including brochures, newsletters, and the website.
Deadline
All entries must be received by October 31, 2008. Mail or deliver entries to:

Judging
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges. The decision of the judges is final.
Return of Entries
All entries will be kept by CLBC.
Responsibility
CLBC cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost, damaged, or delayed during transportation.
Prizes
Prizes are currently being determined. We will post the prizes as soon as they are decided.
