Recent research about residential alternatives clearly demonstrates that “one size fits all” is no longer an acceptable standard. There is increasing evidence to suggest that group homes may be too large for many people and that other models may be more beneficial. Project Overview
The Residential Options Project was designed to ensure that CLBC is meeting the needs of those it supports. Between September 2006 and March 2007, we met with every person in a staffed residential resource. We also spoke with family members, service providers, and others who were important to the individuals at the heart of this initiative. Through this process, we were able to identify individuals who were interested in exploring an alternative living arrangement.
