You are Invited
This fall, GVPL and the BC Community Asset Mapping Network (BCCAMN) are hosting a series of community engagement sessions. Local partners, their clientele and community members are invited to participate to help identify and map community assets related to inclusion, accessibility and social connection.
The BCCAMN, started by CLBC, is made up of people with diverse abilities, their family members and community partners. Community asset mapping is being used to build connections and increase inclusion and belonging for all people. CLBC is planning on sharing the learning from these community asset mapping sessions on a future online platform. GVPL will use the information gathered to inform future planning of library services.
What is Community Asset Mapping?
Community asset mapping is a graphic learning and planning tool that connects us to each other, our communities and neighbourhoods. It is a process used to identify and discover community gifts, assets and visions that can be shared broadly to help increase inclusion and belonging.
