Best Practices for Sharing Information
Conversations
Conduct conversations with individuals or families in a private location.
Limit conversations to the positive. When complaints or emotions take over, people are less careful about the information they share.
Meetings and emails
Include only the people who need to know the information.
Limit discussion about individuals to the issue at hand.
If possible, discuss only one individual at a time.
Consider having separate conversations or sending separate messages to families, sub-contractors, or co-workers.
Remember the Vegas rule: What happens at work, stays at work.
