CLBC Kootenay Community Council Partners to Host First-Ever RemarkABILITY Fest in Trail

The CLBC Kootenay Community Council partnered with the Trail & District Arts Council to host RemarkABILITY Fest, a celebration of inclusion, diversity, and community. The event featured live music, delicious food, local vendors, interactive activities, and more.

Approximately 400 people attended the festival, making it a huge success and the first event of its kind in Trail. Headlining the event was Rock Squad, a band formed by members who met at an AutismBC awareness event. RemarkABILITY Fest marked their first-ever performance on the road. One band member shared, “The boys were amazed at the crowd, biggest and best they’ve played for. We all enjoyed the trip and are already looking forward to next year!”

The event received positive feedback from many attendees and vendors. One local vendor said, “It was probably one of my favourite events I’ve ever done. My kids had a blast. Everyone was amazing, from the customers to the organizers and the music was incredible. WOW. It was truly a special event.”

CLBC Kootenay Community Council members Ben Postmus and Kayleigh Postmus and Crystal Bermel hosted a booth at the event, where they shared information and resources about Community Living BC, handed out swag, and invited visitors to spin their always-popular prize wheel.
