Strengthening your connections with CLBC
CLBC has been working to make it easier for you and your family to access the services and support you need. The Regional Management Reframing Project provides more personalized and responsive services, while partnerships with the Ministry of Children and Family Development ensure smoother transitions for youth who are moving into adulthood.
Building partnerships with Indigenous communities
CLBC signed a historic agreement with the Secwépemc Child & Family Services Agency to bring more culturally safe, Indigenous-led services to communities. It also collaborated with local Nations to introduce Indigenous art and land acknowledgments in CLBC offices.
Empowering your leadership and connections
CLBC believes in supporting your growth and leadership. The Self-Advocacy Leadership Institute brought people together to build confidence and share experiences. Through CLBC’s partnership with BC People First, people with lived experience are helping shape CLBC policies. CLBC is also promoting careers in the community living sector, ensuring a strong, compassionate workforce to support your needs.
Making communities more inclusive
Whether it’s finding meaningful employment or safe, supportive housing, CLBC is working to create more opportunities for you. From the expansion of the L.I.F.E. Service to innovative housing solutions like Grosvenor House, it’s focused on helping you live the life you want.
Growing as an organization to serve you better
CLBC improved its tools and systems to ensure staff can provide you with the best possible support. Being named one of B.C.’s Top Employers for the third year in a row reflects CLBC’s commitment to staff and also to you and your family.
