CLBC is improving how we share information by making it easier for people who receive funded supports, families, service providers, and community members to sign up for email updates and publications.
You can choose the information you’d like to receive and have it sent directly to your inbox. This helps ensure you get timely updates about the topics that matter most to you.
As part of this change, CLBC is moving to Envoke, a Canadian email communications platform, which will help us better manage contact information, email distribution and communication preferences.
Our email communications will fall into two categories, and people can choose what to receive based on their interests:
Publications and optional updates
These include:
- CLBC Update for Individuals and Families – News, information and resources from CLBC for individuals and families.
- Celebrate Diverse Abilities Magazine – Stories and news highlighting the diverse abilities and experiences of people across B.C.
- General CLBC Updates – Updates about initiatives and events such as CLBC’s budget and strategic plan, news from the Indigenous Relations team, the WOW Awards, Welcome Workshops, Community Inclusion Month and more.
- Messages to Service Providers – Important information and updates from CLBC for service providers.
- Home Sharing Updates – News and updates specifically for home sharing providers.
Operational communications
These are important information and updates sent to organizations and people who have a contractual relationship with CLBC. This includes emails to service providers and individuals and families (such as people who use Individualized Funding). Examples include procurement guidelines, Request For Qualification updates, and guidance and policy document updates.
What do you need to do?
If you are currently included in CLBC’s email contacts, you will receive an email this week with information about these changes and how to check and update your preferences.
If you have a contract with CLBC and your email address needs to be updated, you will be able to submit a request to make those changes.
If you already receive CLBC publications or optional updates, you will be able to manage your own subscriptions and communication preferences.
