Community Living BC is excited to welcome Rav Goodison, our newest member appointed to the CLBC Board of Directors. Board members provide oversight and guidance on how CLBC does its work. This includes responsibilities like approving the strategic plan and making sure the services and supports provided by CLBC make a difference for the people we serve.
Rav Goodison is an IT executive with over 30 years of experience delivering technology and digital transformation initiatives across public health and post-secondary education. She currently serves as Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Capilano University, leading digital technology services.
Rav has extensive experience leading large-scale digital programs, restructuring technology organizations, and modernizing complex digital ecosystems within the public sector. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in health information management and health informatics.
Rav holds master’s degrees in international management and health information science and is completing her PhD in health information science, with research focused on improving digital project implementation in healthcare systems.
Rav was appointed at the beginning of January 2026, by the Honourable Sheila Malcolmson, B.C. Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, for a term of three years.
CLBC would also like to thank departing Board member, Joely Viveiros, who served two terms on the Board from December 31, 2019 to December 31, 2025.
As a family member and Indigenous woman of Gitxsan Nation, Joely has made valuable contributions to the work CLBC does for people with developmental disabilities throughout B.C., bringing her background and knowledge of rural and remote healthcare environments to Board discussions and decision-making. Her thoughtful perspective and commitment to culturally safe, person-centred, inclusive services have helped guide CLBC’s work during her term.
