On September 12, 10 am – 3 pm, One Day Together in Topaz Park, Victoria, invites the whole community to share food, dance to live music and participate in an event where everyone can feel included.
The day will start with the all-Challengers baseball game at 10 a.m. with the Layritz and Central Saanich adult teams, and the Hampton and Lakehill Little League. And throughout the day there will be music, children’s activities, bouncies, face painting, prizes, an arts & crafts marketplace, special guests, and a low-cost and delicious BBQ lunch. It’s fun, activities are free, and most of all the event brings the community together.
BeConnected, Bone Creative, CLBC, Integra Support Services, Lifetime Networks, Kardel, Recreation Integration and Independent Living Housing Society organized the event this year, and Garth Homer, GT Hiring Solutions and CLBC provided sponsorship. CLBC staff will be at the event to help make it a success and to mark the start of local Community Living Month celebrations. We hope to see you there – and we encourage you to bring your friends.
