Help guide CLBC’s work by hosting a feedback session in your community

Community Living BC (CLBC) is developing a new Strategic Plan to guide our work from 2026 to 2029. This plan will help us:

  • Set clear and realistic priorities
  • Strengthen services
  • Build stronger partnerships

To ensure the new plan reflects the voices and experiences of the people we serve, as well as families and service providers, we are taking a community-led engagement approach grounded in inclusion, transparency, and collaboration.

Watch this video message from CLBC Board Chair Shane Simpson and self advocate Board member Amber Rainshadow, inviting you to join this important conversation.

To support this approach CLBC has partnered with self-advocacy groups, CLBC Community Councils and other community partners to host feedback sessions across B.C. Visit the CLBC website here to learn about upcoming sessions.

The primary audiences for these sessions are family members of those with developmental disabilities and people eligible for CLBC funded services, including those with FASD or autism, who need assistance with daily tasks. To bring a wider network of voices to the new Strategic Plan, CLBC welcomes other community leaders and organizations to host a feedback session of their own.

Want to host a feedback session in your community?

To support meaningful and accessible engagement, CLBC will provide an Engagement Toolkit to individuals and organizations interested in hosting their own session, along with a small stipend to help with hosting costs. The toolkit is designed to make it easy to plan, promote, and facilitate a feedback session, while ensuring consistency across engagement activities.

The toolkit includes:

  • Planning checklists
  • Sample questions
  • Promotional materials
  • Feedback collection templates

By providing these tools, CLBC aims to empower a broader network of community members and partners to lead local conversations and contribute to the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. We invite you to host a feedback session up until March 31st, 2026.
