The government of British Columbia is planning to develop new legislation that will make B.C. a more accessible and inclusive province, and they want to hear from you.
Through a public consultation open until November 29, the government will be collecting feedback to inform future legislation that will address barriers preventing people with disabilities from fully and equally participating in their communities. This could be in areas such as service delivery, employment, buildings and public spaces, information technology and transportation.
Community Living BC encourages everyone, including the people we support, to take part in the consultation process and provide your valuable input and perspectives.
Here are some ways to get involved:
- Take this 10-minute online survey
- Email engageaccessibility@gov.bc.ca or call 1 844 878-0640 (toll free) with your feedback
- Take part in a virtual townhall on November 20
- Register to attend a community meeting taking place in Prince George, Victoria, Fort St. John, Surrey, Comox, Vancouver, Kamloops, Penticton or Nelson. Find event dates, times and venues in the CLBC Events Calendar.
