RFQ re-opening extended to April 1, 2026

Community Living BC (CLBC) has extended the pause on accepting submissions under the Request for Qualification (RFQ 590), with the possibility of re-opening no earlier than April 1, 2026. This extended pause will not impact Indigenous Vendors, who can submit applications starting December 1, 2025.

Why is CLBC extending the RFQ pause?

CLBC is exercising the right to extend or adjust RFQ dates in accordance with applicable provincial procurement process. Due to operational capacity and the need to align internal processes that support the RFQ framework, CLBC will pause the intake of new RFQ submissions effective December 1, 2025. The RFQ re-opening, April 1, 2026, is subject to change based on CLBC’s readiness and internal process review.

What does this mean for current service providers?

  • This change does not affect pre-qualified service providers’ existing qualifications.
  • Providers wishing to become qualified for new services or service areas will not be able to do so until the RFQ process reopens, currently anticipated for April 2026, but subject to change.
  • If you are a pre-qualified service provider and you are concerned that this will impact services that you are currently providing, please contact your CLBC analyst for support.
  • Service providers who were preparing to submit qualifications under RFQ 590 are asked to pause any new submissions at this time.
  • This pause does not apply to Indigenous service providers. Indigenous service providers may submit RFQs as of December 1, 2025.
  • All RFQ submissions received prior to March 2025 will be held until the review process resumes, no earlier than April 1, 2026.
  • CLBC will provide further information and guidance when the updated RFQ process is scheduled to reopen.
