Employment affects people’s quality of life in many positive ways; it creates independence, and increases self-confidence, relationships and a sense of purpose. Many of the individuals CLBC serves want to work at jobs where they are paid real wages for real work.
Since 2013, CLBC has been strategically working with communities, individuals, families, service providers and government to increase employment opportunities that align with the Nine Guiding Principles of Supported Employment.
With many people still wanting to work, or wanting to work more, CLBC continues to collaborate with all partners to increase opportunities to support people’s employment goals.
